Middle Final will be introduced in WMOC 2018
During their meeting in Warsaw 20. - 21. January 2017, the IOF Council decided to introduce a Middle Final in WMOC starting from 2018. As organizers we are very pleased to be able to award a third set of medals.
The Long Qualification 2 will be replaced by the Middle Final and the Long Qualification 1 will be replaced by one decisive Forest Qualification race, that will define the distribution of athletes in the different heats of the Middle and Long Final races. IOFs Foot Orienteering Commission now has the task of defining the length and characteristics of the Forest Qualification courses and defining the length of the Middle Final courses. The exact rules for qualifying for the two finals will also be updated. When we have information about the changes, we will bring new information and update the web page with the updated information.
We offer challenging orienteering, breathtaking nature and a vibrant City within short travel distances.
The Northern part of the island Sealand has an outstanding variety of castles, museums and historic sites.
Along the north coast the sea is calm and clean and ideal for a swim. 50 km to the south you find the Danish capital Copenhagen with lots of restaurants, shops and sights.
We look forward to your visit in July 2018.
Bulletin 1 is delayed - it is expected to be published on this website mid May 2017.
Please sign up to the newsletter and we will return to you when the invitation is published.
